Little Lena........

This tag I made for my daughter I was playing with paint and trying out image transfer techniques. This was really alot of fun. I then embelished of course with Stamps, Distress inks, Copic markers, Tattered florals die cuts, Spellbinders dies, Perfect Pearls, Cuddle Bug Embossing folders, embossing powders, Ribbons and bobbles.

I decided to enter in at Simon Says Stamp because the theme is anything goes. There are so many techniques on this tag it really belongs in this challenge. I always finish my tags on both sides and scent them so they can be hung on a rearview mirror or anywhere and both side are interesting.

I didn't put in all the ingredients but its late and my hand is tired.

Silver Linings...

Silver Linings...

Welcome to my blog, blog I was very excited about this challenge, having to use Wendy Vecchi stamps cause they are just so YuMMY!!!! I've just started dabbling in altered art and this is my second piece, I just adore the medium. This was inspired by watching a tutorial on paper dolls. I loved it cause it brought me back to being a child and playing with these, and so it reminded me to stay a bit childlike where all dreams are possible and no matter what, all clouds have silver linings, hence the title.

For this I used Obviously Wendy's stamps, Autumn Leaves, Paper Inspirations, Hero Arts, and Hampton Art stamps. I also used a paper doll template by blog, Copics, Stickles, Peridot and Amethyst embossing powders by Stampendous, clear embossing powder by Ranger, Distress Inks by Ranger, Perfect Pearls, and assortment of acrylic paints, Matte medium, Super Seal, Barcode Font by 1001 fonts and Glossy Accents.
I do hope you all will enjoy this as much as I did creating this. I have seen so many wonderful entries I couldn't imagine having to make a choice. Good luck to all and have fun creating, that's what its all about.

Woo Hoo!!! This is the first post on my blog. I've never done this before but have visited other peoples blogs for inspiration. This is a project that I've put together for a challenge at Simon Says Stamps. I used stamps by Wendy Vecchi, Fancy Pants and Hot of The Press. I also used Dew Drops, Distressed Stickles, Copic Markers, various glass beads, vintage buttons, plastic netting, acrylic paints, paper back canvas, Perfect Pearls, tulle, cardboard, Tim Holtz Distressed Inks and peridot embossing powder. I also sealed the canvas with gloss medium.
I'm very excited to see what other projects will be entered. Good luck to everyone! Whoever wins gets quite a haul of goodies....
